A whodunit in Scranton

Diva Theater tackles tough stories
The community troupe Diva Theater is producing William Mastrosimone’s play “Extremities” on Friday through Sunday and the following weekend. The play looks at a woman who gets the upper hand on an attacker and includes difficult material. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. General admission: $15. Olympic skaters perform
Olympic medalists and other top ice skaters will perform Friday at the Mohegan Arena in Wilkes-Barre Twp. The headliners include Olympic gold medalist Alysa Liu, Ilia Malinin, Madison Chock and Evan Bates, Amber Glenn, Ellie Kam and Danny O’Shea. Knoebels Amusement Resort opens
Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg opens its centennial season Saturday and Sunday. Its modern roller coasters win awards and its vintage carousels are painstakingly preserved. The trip is about an hour and 23 minutes from Scranton, an hour and eight minutes from Wilkes-Barre and 45 minutes from both Hazleton and Pottsville. For information, go to knoebels.com.
