After 10 weeks, things ended up where they started at the top of The Times-Tribune High School Football Poll.

North Pocono completed an undefeated regular season with a comeback win over Scranton Prep, 24-21, in Week 10. The Trojans are 10-0 for the first time since 1991 and confirmed their preseason ranking at No. 1, holding the position for all 11 polls of 2025. This is the final ranking of the season.

During their run to the Lackawanna Football Conference Division I championship, the Trojans defeated seven District 2 playoff qualifiers. North Pocono beat three teams with winning records — Pittston Area, Abington Heights, Valley View — by an average margin of 19.7 points per game.

North Pocono averaged 36.6 points per game and yielded an LFC-fewest 12.4 points per game.

The Trojans enter the District 2 Class 4A playoffs as the No. 1 seed and host No. 4 Crestwood (5-5) in the semifinals Friday at 7.

Lackawanna Trail (9-1) captured the LFC Division III championship with its 40-14 dismantling of Riverside (8-2) last week, and is No. 1 seed heading into the District 2-11 Class 1A subregional playoffs. The Lions, who finished ranked second after being at No. 4 in the preseason poll, dominated all season, losing only to unbeaten Berwick, the top seed in the District 2 Class 3A playoffs.

Lackawanna Trail was 5-0 in Division III, winning those games by an average margin of 30.6. They went 4-1 against Class 3A opponents, outscoring them, 166-91. The Lions will host Nativity BVM from District 11 on Friday in the subregional semifinals.

Lakeland (9-1), the only team in the final poll not in the preseason ranking, finished at No. 3. Lakeland averaged 35.6 points per game and yielded 15.0 points per game. The Chiefs, who were 4-17 in the last two seasons, captured the LFC Division II championship and are the No. 1 seed for the District 2 Class 2A playoffs. The Chiefs will host fourth-seeded Holy Redeemer (2-8) on Friday.

Delaware Valley (5-5) rebounded from a 0-4 start. They were No. 6 in the preseason poll and are at No. 4 in the final ranking. The Warriors are the No. 3 seed for the District 2 Class 5A playoffs and play at No. 2 Pittston Area on Friday.

Abington Heights (8-2) is ranked No. 5 in the final poll. The Comets, who endured almost a month without starting quarterback Nick Bradley, averaged 30.8 points per game. Their losses were to top-ranked North Pocono and Delaware Valley in the first game they played without Bradley, who had an injured hand. The Comets are the defending District 2 Class 5A champion and the No. 1 seed. They will host No. 4 Wyoming Valley West (1-9) in the semifinals.

Valley View (6-4) is ranked at No. 6 in the final poll. The Cougars (6-4), who were ranked ninth in the preseason and climbed as high as No. 2, pulled things together after back-to-back lopsided losses to North Pocono and Delaware Valley. They are the No. 2 seed for the District 2 Class 4A playoffs and open at home against No. 3 Dallas on Friday.

Scranton Prep (5-5) started the season ranked No. 2, but was without starting quarterback Will McPartland for the first three weeks. The Cavaliers lost their first three games, which included the season opener to Valley View, rallied past Delaware Valley, and had an impressive win over Jersey Shore to finish at No. 7. They are the No. 3 seed for the District 2 Class 3A playoffs and play at No. 2 Wyoming Area (9-1) on Friday.

Riverside (8-2) tumbled from No. 4 in last week’s ranking to No. 8 in the final poll after losing to Lackawanna Trail in a game it trailed, 40-0, in the third quarter. The Vikings averaged and LFC-best 41.4 points per game. They are the No. 2 seed for the District 2 Class 2A playoffs and earned a rematch with third-seeded Dunmore on Friday.

Dunmore (7-3), which lost to Riverside, 17-14, in overtime, to Lackawanna Trail by two, and Lakeland by 14, is ranked No. 9 in the final poll. The Bucks, who were seventh in the preseason, will try to avenge their Week 1 loss to Riverside in the semifinals of the District 2 Class 2A playoffs.

Mid Valley (4-6) gave No. 3 Lakeland all it could handle in Week 10. The Spartans are ranked No. 10 and played a challenging schedule. Their losses came against Pittston Area, Berwick, Lackawanna Trail, Dunmore, Scranton Prep and Lakeland — six teams with a combined record of 48-12.

This week, Mid Valley will play at Carbondale Area (6-4) in an Eastern Conference Class 3A game. The Chargers also received votes in the final poll.
