The gateway to West Reading is set to get a fresh look.
Beginning April 27, the Norfolk Southern railroad bridge over Penn Avenue at Second Avenue is scheduled to be power-washed and repainted, borough officials said.
During the project, which is expected to last two weeks, motorists can expect lane closures and delays in both directions Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“If you’re traveling through, please plan ahead, allow a little extra time, and follow posted signage to help keep everyone moving safely,” Mayor Samantha Kaag said in a Facebook post.
