Rain ends for the final rounds of the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh

Cloudy and cool after the rain to start the weekend.

EVERYBODY CAN BE NICE AND CORDIAL AS WE GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE DAY. IT IS AN IMPACT DAY. WE DO HAVE RAIN THAT IS GOING TO CONTINUE TO MOVE OFF TOWARDS THE EAST. AS WE GET CLOSER TO NOONTIME. OF COURSE, IN THE FOURTH ROUND GETS UNDERWAY, NOT QUITE AS WARM AS IT’S BEEN PAST TWO DAYS. TEMPERATURES RUNNING IN THE LOWER 60S. SKIES ARE GOING TO STAY MOSTLY CLOUDY EVEN AS WE GO THROUGH THE FINAL PIC. AND ALSO THE KATY BROWN CONCERT STILL TAKING PLACE ON THE NORTH SHORE. AS THE DRAFT WRAPS UP REST OF THE WEEKEND. HOPEFULLY IF YOU’RE VISITING, YOU’RE STAYING FOR ONE MORE DAY. A BETTER LOOKING DAY TOMORROW AS WE BRING IN MORE SUNSHINE AND MONDAY. REALLY A TREAT FOR ALL OF US HERE IN WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA WITH TONS OF SUNSHINE TO KICK OFF A BRAND NEW WORK AND SCHOOL WEEK, THINGS ARE NICE AND QUIET, WHETHER YOU’RE DOWNTOWN OR ON THE NORTH SHORE RIGHT NOW, BUT THERE IS MORE RAIN MOVING IN HERE AS WE GO OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS, WIDENING OUT THE VIEW ACROSS ALLEGHENY COUNTY. IT’S A LITTLE BIT BETTER THROUGH THE SOUTH HILLS, ALSO OUT NEAR THE AIRPORT AT THIS POINT. THAT EXTENDS THROUGH THE MON VALLEY AND ALSO IN WESTMORELAND COUNTY, WHERE THAT RAIN HAS BEEN A LITTLE BIT STEADY, STEADIER. SAME STORY AROUND CANONSBURG, NORTH STRABANE RIGHT NOW. THIS IS THE NEXT WAVE OF RAIN ALREADY STARTING TO SET UP AROUND LAKE ARTHUR, EXTENDING TOWARDS SLIPPERY ROCK, ELLWOOD CITY AND THEN ALSO BACK INTO EASTERN OHIO. THAT’S GOING TO CONTINUE TO DROP IN WITH A COLD FRONT. STILL ANOTHER BURST OF SOME HEAVY RAIN. WE’VE HAD A FEW BRIEF DOWNPOURS IN AND AROUND THE CITY. WE’LL HAVE ONE MORE TO GO AND THEN WE’LL DRY OUT FOR THE REST OF THE DAY. SO SOMETHING TO BE MINDFUL OF. YOU’RE ABOUT TO HIT THE ROADS. HEAD DOWNTOWN OR TO THE NORTH SHORE. YOU’RE STILL GOING TO NEED THE RAIN GEAR THROUGH ABOUT 1:00 TODAY. REST OF THE AFTERNOON WE CONTINUE TO DRY OUT. SKIES WILL STAY MOSTLY CLOUDY. 68 WE HANG ON TO THOSE CLOUDS THROUGH THE START OF SUNDAY AS WE RECOVER WITH MORE SUNSHINE. TO WRAP UP THE WEEKEND, ONLY 65 FOR A HIGH, THEN A NICE LITTLE WARM UP BEFORE MORE RAIN COMES IN ON TUESDAY. AS WE COULD SEE A FEW MORE IMPACT DAYS AS WE WRAP UP THIS MONTH OF APRIL. THIS IS WHAT I WAS TALKING ABOUT. THE COLD FRONT COMING IN AROUND 10:00 11:00. YOU CAN SEE A BURST OF SOME LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN FROM THE CITY OF PITTSBURGH BACK TOWARDS WASHINGTON AND EVEN WAYNESBURG THAT WILL CONTINUE TO TRACK EASTWARD. WE SHOULD BE DRYING OUT JUST THE DRAFT GETS UNDERWAY WITH ROUND FOUR AT NOON ON THE NORTH SHORE. RAIN WILL CONTINUE TO FALL THROUGH SOME OF OUR EASTERN COUNTIES. EVERYBODY, THOUGH, SHOULD BE DRY BY ABOUT 3:00. BUT STILL, THOSE CLOUDS WILL HANG TOUGH FOR US FOR SEVERAL HOURS. WE GO INTO THIS EVENING. IT’S A LITTLE BIT COOLER TODAY. TEMPERATURES RIGHT NOW HOVERING CLOSE TO 60. ONLY A BRIEF RECOVERY INTO THE MID TO UPPER 60S. THIS AFTERNOON WE GAIN SUNSHINE WITH TEMPERATURES AROUND 65 TOMORROW. MONDAY LOOKS TO BE A BEAUTIFUL ONE. TONS OF SUNSHINE, 74 TUESDAY OUR NEXT DAY TO WATCH. WE COULD SEE RAIN FOR MOST OF THE DAY WITH ANOTHER COLD FRONT THAT COMES IN. ANOTHER WAVE OF RAIN WILL BE POSSIBLE ON WEDNESDAY, SO WE COULD BE DEALING WITH BACK TO BACK IMPACT DAYS AS WE ROLL THROUGH THE MIDDLE OF THE UPCOMING WEEK. ANOTHER THING TO WATCH IS THESE TEMPERATURES WILL BE TRENDING COOLER AS WE GET CLOSER TO THE START OF MAY, AND ALSO MARATHON WEEKEND NEXT WEEKEND. WE HEARD FROM THREE FOLKS THAT THEY LIKE THE WEATHER THIS MORNING. HOPEFULLY WE CAN CARRY THAT INTO MARATHON WEEKEND TOO, AS WILL BE CERTAINLY COOL, BUT FOR THE MOST PART, KEEPING THE RAIN AWAY NEXT SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. AND AS WE LOOK AHEAD TO THAT NEXT WEEK, WE WONDER WILL WE HAVE ANOTHER PENGUIN HOME GAME THAT WILL BE DETERMINED WILL BE ANOTHER BIG STORY? WE WILL. IF THE
