Thousands of Lehigh Valley Health Network patients who have United Healthcare insurance are longer in-network.
Lehigh Valley Health Network’s contract with UnitedHealthcare has ended.
That means Medicare Advantage patients who are covered by United will need to go elsewhere for treatment.
Around 50,000 patients are expected to be affected by the change.
LVHN and United had been negotiating for more than two years.
United Healthcare says members who are in active treatment, like pregnancy or cancer care, will still have in‑network coverage for 90 days.
