Police said an investigation is ongoing after a man was killed in a stabbing that happened along Wadsworth Avenue in the Cedarbrook section of Philadelphia’s East Mount Airy neighborhood on Tuesday morning.
According to police, the incident happened at about 7:23 a.m. when a man — who police did not immediately provide further identifying information on — was stabbed on the roadway along the 1500 block of Wadsworth Avenue.
The man, officials said, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced at about 8:21 a.m.
At the scene on Tuesday morning, NBC10’s cameras captured images of police tape in front of Wadsworth Pizza, which was shuttered, as officers investigated the area.
Police have said they have no motive yet for this slaying and no arrests have yet been made.
But, an investigation is ongoing.
