Tractor trailer crash prompts cleanup call to Erie Co. Hazmat Team
A crash apparently involving two tractor-trailers on Interstate 90 ended with one of them flipped over, spilling diesel fuel.
Emergency crews were called just after 7 p.m. to the crash involving a pair of tractor-trailers in the westbound lanes about a mile west of the Route 430 exit.
According to reports from the scene, it was believed one of the trucks crossed the median, flipped and slammed into an embankment.
Crews reported the truck was spilling diesel fuel, and the Erie County Hazmat Team was called in.
I-90 eastbound had to be closed while the wreckage was cleared away.
There is no word on whether anyone was injured or what caused the accident.
