MOOSIC, Pa. (KTRE) – Former Central Heights Blue Devil Duke Ellis drove in two runs in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s 9-4 loss to Rochester in the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre won the first game 6-1.
In the second game, Ellis started in center field and batted ninth. He went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. In the bottom of the sixth inning, Ellis hit a triple to right field, scoring Ali Sanchez and Paul DeJong.
This season, Ellis is hitting .333 with four RBI and eight stolen bases.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (14-12) begins a six-game series at home against Buffalo on Tuesday.
