Pose for the ‘pupperazzi!’ Erie Humane Society features rescues at annual Mutt Gala

The Erie Humane Society showcased their rescues for a glamorous night at the Bayfront Convention Center on Saturday.

The 6th annual Mutt Gala celebrated the Erie Humane Society’s rescues in a fabulous way.

The evening featured dinner, a doggy fashion show and plenty of opportunities for a fun night with furry friends.

It was themed “The Art of Rescue,” with dozens of art pieces created by shelter animals on display throughout the venue.

Many sponsors made the night possible, including our very own JET 24/FOX 66 team.

Erie Humane Society Executive Director Joe Lang said the spotlight should always be on our shelter animals to help reach their goal of adoption.

“So we try and show people all the different scenarios that we have to deal with, with all the dogs that come in. So each dog has a different story, whether it’s medical, cruelty, abandoned, so each dog has a story, and that’s what we’re highlighting tonight,” said Lang.

The Erie Humane Society is always accepting donations to help continue their mission.
