Joe Barron, Pringle councilman, was honored as Elks Citizen of the Year by the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Elks Lodge 109.
Barron, was chosen for his service to the community and support of lodge events for the community, youth and veterans. He was given a certificate of recognition on April 21 as the Elks Citizen of the Year for 2025-2026.
He was also instrumental in helping with raising a new American flag on the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Elks 109 building, offering the support of the borough to raise the flag and fix the flagpole.
