Police investigating deadly motorcycle crash in Glenmont
GLENMONT, N.Y. (WNYT) — Bethlehem Police said a motorcyclist was killed after a crash with an SUV in Glenmont.
Officers responded on Monday, April 27, to a crash at the intersection of Route 9W and Magee Drive in Glenmont involving a vehicle and a motorcycle.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates a SUV traveling south on Route 9W collided with a motorcycle traveling north on Route 9W.
Police said the 53-year-old driver of the SUV was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The motorcyclist, 19-year-old Delmar resident Mason Ruggaber, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bethlehem Police said the crash remains under investigation to determine contributing factors and all parties are cooperating.
