Multiple Smokey Bones locations across Pennsylvania, including the Erie restaurant near the Millcreek Mall, appear to have permanently closed.
The Erie location at 2074 Interchange Rd. has a “We are permanently closed” sign on the entrance, as of Tuesday afternoon. A former employee stated that the restaurant has 48 hours to move out.
So far, no statements have yet been released regarding the closures. However, Smokey Bones parent company, FAT Brands Inc., had commenced a voluntary Chapter 11 proceedings in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court within the Southern District of Texas. The full statement can be found online here.
