Dick’s Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon: Find your finish

Good morning to you guys. You don’t want to hear about me. You want to hear about this lady Jane Bareki, the winner, your 2nd year in *** row. Congratulations. How are you feeling? I’m Feeling amazing. It’s great. It’s like just *** great day. I can’t believe it because I was thinking I’m 4th at some point, and then at some point I was 3rd, and then at some point I was 2nd, and then at some point I was 3rd, and I was like, you know what, I think 3rd is OK. Today, but then I was like, it’s embarrassing, like I just can’t take 3. I think I’ll feel so bad and I was like, you just can’t quit, you know, like, fight, fight, fight, and then I was like, the race is not over until it’s over, you know. So I was like, I kept coming and going, I made *** move and then I died and the Ethiopian lady caught me, she was gone. And then I think at 21 miles, I made *** move. And then I was dying, and then 23, that’s when I made *** move and I was like, I need to put *** gap because she was really strong, you know, and I was like, I think if it comes to *** sprint, she was going to beat me, so I was like, if I can put *** gap right now and just maintain, I think I’ll still have it. So I’m feeling amazing, I’m so happy to be back. So happy to defend my title. Fierce competition and we are so happy that you can defend your title as well. What’s it like to run in Pittsburgh? It’s amazing. I don’t know, it’s just great. The organization is really nice. They did everything for us, elite. We had everything great. They flew me in and we had *** great hotel. We had great food. The crowd is amazing. The people, the water station was just perfect. I didn’t miss any water, so I think the weather was OK for me. I didn’t feel that bad and I think this year. The course felt better than last year. Last year I really had *** bad time and I had *** hamstring injury last year, so I was worried this year, but I felt better this year, so I think it’s amazing. I think I’ll come back again. Yes, and we’re going to defend it for *** third time. Absolutely you do. Thank you for being here and congratulations. You earned that celebration. Congratulations Jadell and Michelle. It has been just such *** remarkable, remarkable day filled with so many amazing athletes. Jane, thank you. Jane being just one of them. I mean, from top to bottom here we’ve seen so many remarkable stories, and it has been so fantastic and so wonderful to witness it. I can’t.
