The number of monthly parking permits for Erie Street will jump from 24 to 35.
Stratford city council voted unanimously in favour of this increase at Monday night’s meeting.
Along with extra permits, the Erie Lot Overnight Parking Pilot Program will provide five monthly overnight parking permits for downtown residents only, and 10 daily overnight parking permits, according to the notice of motion by Coun. Leslie Biehn.
The motion said permit holders will be allowed to park in the lot 24 hours per day.
This change comes after city council approved the Pilot Program in January, which aims to evaluate demand and optimize parking resources.
