In Western Pennsylvania gas prices are on a continuous rise, reaching an average of $4.160 per gallon. Nationwide drivers are also seeing an increase by seven cents for an average of $4.11 a gallon.
Crude oil prices have increased to $96 per barrel as the conflict in the Persian Gulf continues and currently the prices are a dollar higher than last year. At this time last year pump prices sat at $3.14 a gallon.
Gasoline demand has decreased since the previous week from 9.08 million barrels per day to 9.05 million according to the Energy Information Administration. Domestically supply decreased from 232.9 million barrels to 228.4 million.
West Texas Intermediate rose $3.29 for an average $92.96 per barrel. According to the EIA crude oil inventory has increased by 1.9 million barrels to reach 465.7 million barrels which is 3% above the average for this time of year.
At public EV charging stations prices decreased by one cent to reach 40 cents per kilowatt hour of electricity.
