HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN CO. (WOLF) — A Lackawanna County man has been sentenced to state prison after investigators found more than 200 files of child sexual abuse material in his possession, according to the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office.

Lucas E. Kelsey was sentenced to five to 10 years in prison, followed by six years of probation, after pleading guilty to felony charges. The sentence was handed down this week by a Lackawanna County Judge, Michael J. Barrasse

Authorities say Kelsey was found with 201 files containing illegal material. Investigators from the Attorney General’s Child Predator Section executed a search warrant at his home in Moosic in March 2025, where the files were recovered from hard drives.

As part of his sentence, Kelsey will be required to register with law enforcement for 15 years after his release.

Attorney General Dave Sunday said the case highlights the seriousness of crimes involving child sexual abuse material and emphasized that such offenses directly contribute to the exploitation of children.

The Attorney General’s Office prosecuted the case.
