PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — In a chaotic scene outside of a Center City charter school Wednesday afternoon, a driver was caught on video slamming into another vehicle. A pedestrian was struck as well, according to witnesses with their condition currently unknown.
Videos obtained by KYW Newsradio show a Dodge Durango traveling westbound along Lombard Street and running a red light at 15th Street. The vehicle appeared to be speeding, and ran a red light at 16th and Lombard streets, before hitting a Range Rover traveling northbound.
The Range Rover lost control and hit a pedestrian crossing the street, knocking her to the ground. Bystanders went to the pedestrian’s aid. Two people were also seen getting out of the Durango, running out of the frame.
Philadelphia police have yet to disclose details of the incident.

Mark Krull of Center City captured the collision on his cell phone.
“If you slow down the video, there is a woman in white jogging pants and just before she gets hit she was hit by the Range Rover,” Krull pointed out.
The collision happened right outside the Independence Charter School just before 3 p.m. Students had been dismissed early, just before 2 p.m., though there were still afterschool programs going on. School officials told KYW Newsradio no one was injured.
