BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Students at two high schools in the Bethlehem Area School District had a hand in picking some of Musikfest’s performers.

It’s all part of Marketing Musikfest, an effort to allow students to apply the programming, budgeting and marketing skills they learn in class to a real-life setting at Musikfest, according to a news release from ArtsQuest, which runs the festival.

BASD and ArtsQuest teamed up for the program.

Freedom High School students selected:

Anthony Winters: ArtsQuest says he transitioned from high school hallways in suburban Philadelphia to the public stage and specializes in a modern Pop sound. He frequently explores Rock and Pop-Rock influences. During student interviews, Winters cited Justin Bieber as a primary inspiration for his performance style and vocal arrangements, ArtsQuest said.

No James: The champion of the 6th Annual F.A.M.E. Contest. ArtsQuest says this competition allows the Freedom High School student body to vote for their favorite peer-musicians. The winner represents the pinnacle of student talent and the “voice” of the current generation, according to the news release.

The band consists of the members Ella Viegas, Leland Naylor, and Lucas Colina. No James specializes in the punk/emo rock genres drawing inspiration from blink-182, Green Day, and Linkin Park, according to ArtsQuest.

Ray Pearson: Pearson, who is from Bronx, New York, is a lyrical rapper who masterfully weaves his Hispanic heritage and urban roots into his tracks, ArtsQuest said.

“Deeply influenced by the technical precision of Eminem, Pearson brings a storytelling approach to the stage that resonates with fans of classic, wordplay-heavy hip-hop,” according to the news release.

1:00 p.m. — Anthony Winters (Pop/Rock)

2:00 p.m. — Ray Pearson (Rap/Hip Hop)

ArtsQuest said Liberty High School’s artists include three performers representing different genres—country singer and songwriter Dillon Warnek, alternative rock band Coquettish and indie artist Lydia Von Hof. All three will perform at the Plaza Tropical Stage on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
