APPOMATTOX COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A pair of teens from Appomattox County who have been missing for weeks amid a criminal investigation have been located in Philadelphia and taken into custody.
We’ve reported on the disappearances of Zoey Anderson and Anthony Wirth, who went missing in August. Anthony and Zoey were dating, and on their flight from Virginia they were involved in a police chase. But they were able to get away from the pursuit at the time, managing to elude capture for weeks.

Both their families spoke to ABC13, worried for their safety and wanting them to come back home. Previously, the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office had obtained a warrant against Robertson for felony-unauthorized use of a car, and a warrant against Wirth for violation of a court order.
It’s taken weeks for law enforcement to find them, but on October 27, the Appomattox County Sheriff’s Office announced they had been found in Philadelphia.
“They both will await extradition back to Appomattox,” the sheriff’s office said.
