In Erie County ECGRA — the County Gaming Revenue Authority — made another investment in the region.
It’s a new Main Street Impact Fund loan designed to help support local businesses.
For one longtime Erie manufacturer, that support is coming in the form of a new machine — and the possibility of new jobs.
EFI Connection, a manufacturer located in downtown Erie, is taking a major step forward. The company secured a $50,000 loan through the Erie County Redevelopment Authority’s Main Street Impact Fund, backed by the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority.
The funding is helping the company purchase a new wire‑processing system that will expand production capacity and create new jobs.
“Purchasing a big piece of equipment often requires some sort of financing, so this was a great way to get a low‑interest loan that helps support the production needs of the business.” Mike Noonan, CEO, EFI Connection shared.
The loan is helping the company invest in equipment that strengthens local manufacturing. Support like this keeps production — and jobs — right here in Erie, driving the local economy.
“Historically, this has been one of our largest sectors. It puts us on the map in metal fabrication, plastics, and other types of manufacturing, so we need to continue to support that industrial‑based economy.” Perry Wood, The Executive Director, ECGRA explained.
