WEST READING, Pa. – With less than a month until the Pennsylvania primary, the chair of the state Democratic party made a stop in Berks County Thursday.
Former state auditor general Eugene Depasquale spoke to fellow party members at B-2 Bistro in West Reading.
He says the higher prices of things like healthcare and gasoline are some of the top issues on voters’ minds.
“We have a chance right here in Pennsylvania, particularly in eastern Pennsylvania, that if we win some seats, Democrats will win back control of Congress. We think that’s going to be critical to standing up to the chaos of Washington, D.C.,” said Depasquale.
Depasquale served as auditor general until 2024, when he lost a bid for attorney general.
Pennsylvania’s primary election is May 19th.
