Charlotte J. Puckett Grzyboski
OBITUARY
Charlotte J. Puckett Grzyboski, 68, of the Greenwood section of Moosic, passed away Thursday morning in the comfort of her home, surrounded by the love she poured into her family every day. She leaves behind her devoted husband, caregiver, and best friend, of 50 years, Richard – a partnership marked by unwavering loyalty, humor, and deep affection.
Born in Montrose, PA Charlotte is the daughter of Eva Bennett Puckett and the late Harold Puckett. A 1976 graduate of Riverside High School, she went on to become a beloved morning manager at McDonald’s in Moosic. Anyone who walked through those doors or went through the drive thru knew Charlotte would brighten their morning with her smile, her energy, and her genuine kindness.
Her faith was a guiding force throughout her life. A devout Catholic, she was a longtime member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, later joining St. Nicholas/St. Mary’s in WilkesBarre.
She loved crocheting, she found joy in country music concerts – especially anything by Toby Keith – and cherished her walks with her miniature collies, Max and Toby, who were never far from her side. Her beloved interest for watching the sitcom Reba was a daily ritual.
Above all, Charlotte was devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her son, Richard Jr.; her brothers Richard Puckett and wife Kerry, Bob Puckett and wife Janet, Jerry Pudge Puckett, and Gary Puckett and wife Karen; her sister, Sandy Doran and husband Frank; her sisterinlaw, Ann Marie Herie and husband Allan; her brother-inlaw, Robert Grzyboski and wife Marge; her sister-inlaw, Theresa Grzyboski; preceded in death by her husband Joseph Grzyboski, Jr. and many nieces and nephews who adored her.
Family and friends may call Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, by the Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J. Entombment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 332 Wheeler Ave., Scranton – a cause close to the family’s heart.
