Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming wedding of Morgan Silfies to Dominick Evans, both of Honesdale.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ed and Kelly Silfies, Hawley, second born of four siblings: Jacob, Luke and Adam Silfies. She is a graduate of Western Wayne High School class of 2016; graduate of Penn State University (Scranton campus) class of 2020, with a B.S. in human development and family studies; and a graduate of Marywood University class of 2022 with a Master of Social Work. She is a licensed social worker at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Tarah Evans and the late Donald Evans Jr., Forest City, first born of four siblings: Steven, Alex and Chase Evans. He is a graduate of Forest City Regional High School class of 2016, and attended Lackawanna College from 2016-2018, where he was a member of the men’s soccer team. He is a LiUNA Local 130 laborer.
Morgan and Dominick met in 2022, how most modern couples meet, with a swipe on an app. They have resided together in their Honesdale home since 2023, where they have hosted many family parties and gatherings. They adopted their dog, Rocco Silfies-Evans, together in 2025. Together they enjoy fishing, walking and camping.
The wedding is set for September 2026 at the Central House Family Resort in Beach Lake.
