ALLEN TWP., Pa. – Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a man they say fired shots near a vehicle in Allen Township, Northampton County.
Troopers responded to the area of Nor Bath Blvd. at its intersection with Savage Drive for the report of a shooting on Friday, October 24 at approximately 11:15 p.m., according to a news release from state police.
After investigating, state police say a man was driving westbound on Nor Bath Blvd. at its intersection with Savage Drive when another man tried to illegally walk across Nor Bath Blvd. from Savage Drive, state police said.
State police said the driver stopped his vehicle at the intersection in an attempt not to hit the man.
As the driver’s vehicle was stopped, the man walked towards the back of it and fired two shots from a handgun with the shots suspected to have been fired directly up in the air, according to the news release.
State police said the man then ran away from the scene.
The driver was not injured and no there was no damage to the vehicle, according to state police. Authorities said a discharged 9 MM bullet casing was recovered at the scene.
State police released a description of the man:
1. White/Non-Hispanic male
2. Blonde Hair with a blonde beard
3. Approximately 5’08 to 5’10 in height
4. Approximately 170 pounds
5. Between approximately 28 – 35 Years of Age
6. Wearing a dark hoodie and jeans
7. Wearing a black hat
