WEST READING, Pa. – This year’s Armed Forces Day Parade in West Reading will have a shorter route.
Police say the parade will travel Penn Avenue from 8th Avenue to 4th Avenue.
Organizers say the mantra for this year is “pack the avenue.”
They’re hoping the shorter route brings people together and turns that stretch of Penn Avenue into a sea of red, white and blue.
The parade is set for Saturday, May 16th at 10 a.m.
This year’s theme is “250 Years: United in Freedom.”
