UPPER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa.- A logistics company is closing a distribution center in Lehigh County.
According to a WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) Act notice from the Pennsylvania Department of Labor, Allen Distribution is shutting down its warehouse at 7058 Snowdrift Road in Upper Macungie Township.
The WARN notice says 70 workers will be impacted by the closure, which will take effect Dec. 26.

According to its website, Allen Distribution has been based in Carlisle, Pa., since 1988. It operates more than 14 million square feet of warehouse space across the U.S., offering services like freight consolidation, fulfillment, custom packaging, and transportation.
It’s not clear why Allen is closing the Upper Macungie location. 69 News reached out to the company but did not immediately hear back.
According to Lehigh County property records, Allen Distribution has owned the more than 528,000 square foot building since 2002, via a limited partnership company.
