An Arby’s representative did not immediately return a message seeking comment, including a reason for the closure.

Arby’s, founded in 1964, is a leading sandwich drive-thru restaurant brand known for its roasted beef, turkey and chicken sandwiches.

Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. is the franchisor of the Arby’s Brand and is part of the Inspire Brands family of restaurants, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, according to a company description.

The Inspire Brands family of restaurants also includes the Buffalo Wild Wings, Sonic Drive-In, Jimmy John’s, Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins chains.

There are more than 3,600 Arby’s restaurants globally, including more than 130 Pennsylvania locations.

Other Lehigh Valley Arby’s locations operate on Airport Road in Allentown, Lehigh Street in Allentown, Easton Nazareth Highway in Lower Nazareth Township, Main Street in Fogelsville, Schadt Avenue in Whitehall Township and South Broadway in Wind Gap.

Several other regional Arby’s restaurants operate in nearby Berks, Bucks, Carbon, Monroe and Montgomery counties.

The closure of the Bethlehem Township Arby’s restaurant follows the shuttering of another local Arby’s restaurant on Butler Street in Wilson in 2024.

The former Arby’s location in Bethlehem Township opened in 2018.

The site was previously home to a Taco Bell eatery, which relocated in 2016 to a new restaurant building about a mile away at 2585 Easton Ave. in Bethlehem.

Interestingly, the site of that new Taco Bell restaurant was once home to an Arby’s location.
