BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — Two men are in custody after an undercover operation in which Bensalem Police confiscated guns and drugs.
Police said that members of its Police Special Investigations Unit identified Keehmon Herring, 29, of Philadelphia, PA, as a suspected drug dealer.
On Monday, an undercover officer arranged with Herring to buy two pounds of marijuana. The sale went down on Tuesday after Herring showed up in a black SUV, driven by Zymir Randall, 25, of Glenolden, police said.
Police said Herring approached the undercover officer carrying a black bag while Randall stood on lookout.
Several police officers swarmed in and took Herring into custody without incident.
Bensalem Police confiscated two large clear baggies of suspected marijuana that tested positive for THC. They also found other drug paraphernalia in Herring’s pockets.
Randall, who had ducked into a nearby business, was arrested by police.
Police towed the black SUV and obtained a search warrant. Police recovered a silver .380 caliber automatic pistol along with additional Marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Police also found out that Randall was prohibited from possessing a firearm and was on federal parole on a previous gun charge.
Randall was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver, Persons Not to Possess a Firearm, Firearms Carried without a License, and other narcotics violations.
He was arraigned by District Justice Kevin Wagner and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $1.5 million bail.
Herring was charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.
He was also arraigned by District Justice Kevin Wagner and sent to the Bucks County Correctional Facility on 10 percent of $300,000 bail.
