Millcreek Township is launching its annual spring-cleaning efforts this May, giving residents several opportunities to responsibly dispose of waste, leaves, and hazardous materials throughout the month.
Residents can also schedule bulk item pickups online through Waste Management.
In addition, a special collection event will take place at the Millfair Compost Center on Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to noon. The event will allow residents to dispose of items such as tires, appliances, and scrap metal.
Jessica Stutzman, Director of Community Relations and Sustainability, Millcreek Township: “We do ask that residents just stay in your vehicle because we have a lot of staff assisting to unload your car, and we try to make it pretty painless. I will say, there is always a rush at the beginning of the event at 9:00 AM. If you come at, you know, 10:00 or 11:00, then the line slows down a little bit so we can process you quickly.”
Residents can also drop off leaves and brush at the Millfair Compost Center, where the materials will be recycled into mulch for community use.
