PITTSTON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — Coffee Inclusive is inviting all culinary enthusiasts to submit recipes through mid-May for an upcoming community cookbook. Proceeds from book sales will support the organization’s mission of job training and employment for people with diverse abilities, including those with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism.

Publisher Nicole Frail, founder of Nicole Frail Books, LLC, is partnering with Coffee Inclusive and will help select submitted recipes for inclusion in the finished book. The plan is for wide distribution, including sales in-house and through major sellers such as Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

Brendan Karolchyk, marketing coordinator with PA Inclusive, said Coffee Inclusive created the cookbook project as a way to bring more people into its work beyond the coffee shop, inviting the community to contribute to a fundraiser tied to the organization’s inclusion-focused mission.

“Coffee Inclusive. It’s in the name, inclusivity. We’re looking for anyone who’s willing to offer a recipe. We want as many people as we can get to submit. Everyone has a chance to get published here. So, any recipe that you have, whether it was your great-grandmother’s or something that you just created yesterday, we’re looking to share it in our cookbook,” said Karolchyk.

The online submission form asks for the recipe owner’s name and contact information, the recipe name and category, prep and cook times, servings, equipment needed and difficulty level. Contributors are asked to include an ingredients list with exact measurements and step-by-step directions, along with notes, tips or variations, and a short description or story behind the dish.

The cookbook is expected to include more than 50 recipes, including about 25 from Coffee Inclusive. Recipes can be submitted through an online Microsoft form. The deadline to send in yours will be Wednesday, May 13.
