A Philadelphia man was arrested on Tuesday after he, allegedly, entered a Bensalem home and began to strip before attacking a woman there and telling her she “looks tasty.”
According to police, Louis Sophie, 45, of Philadelphia, was arrested after he, allegedly, broke into a home in Lafayette Gardens, located along the 500 block of Bristol Pike, at about 2:48 p.m. on Tuesday.
At that time, police claim, Sophie entered a property through an unlocked door and grabbed a woman who was in the home.
He then began to strip off his clothes while, police allege, he told the victim she “looks tasty.”
The woman, police said, fought back and began to scream for help, which scared off Sophie.
After the incident, police claim, Sophie fled on foot and returned to Philadelphia, plodding through Poquessing Creek, before he was captured by police at a gas station at the intersection of Frankford Avenue and Knights Road.
Sophie has been charged with burglary, attempted rape, assault and related offenses. Also, law enforcement officials said, he is a register sex offender in the state of Florida.
He is currently being held in at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $1 million bail, officials said.
