City of Erie Mayor Daria Devlin and City Council President Dr. Tyler Titus joined Luther Memorial Academy on Friday as the school celebrated its 50th anniversary.
The officials toured the school, visited classrooms, and later answered questions from students during an assembly.
The mayor also signed an item for a time capsule the school plans to bury later this month. The capsule will be opened in 2051.
Luther Memorial Academy is located on West 11th Street in downtown Erie.
