The Carolina Hurricanes sweep the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in overtime Saturday night at the Xfinity Mobile Arena, eliminating them from the playoffs.
The Flyers scored early off a goal from Tyson Foerster to take a 1-0 lead until Carolina tied it up with a goal of their own from Jackson Blake in the second period.
Trailing 2-1 in the third, Alex Bump scored off a Travis Konecny assist, tying it up to send the game to overtime.
But the Hurricanes sealed the sweep when Blake scored the game-winner in overtime.
The loss puts an end the Flyers’ first playoff run since 2020.
