NORTHAMPTON, Pa. – Authorities have released the identity of the 23-year-old man who died after a crash involving a motorcycle in Allentown over the weekend.
According to a news release from the Lehigh County Coroner, Xzavier Delgado, of Northampton, was pronounced dead on Sunday at 4:49 p.m. in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. The coroner says the cause of death is blunt force injuries due to the collision, and the manner of death is accident.
The crash happened shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday in the area of North 11th Street and West Tilghman Street, according to the coroner.
Officials say Delgado was driving a motorcycle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
The coroner’s office said it “extends its heartfelt condolences to the decedent’s family, friends, loved ones, and all those impacted by this tragic incident. Our thoughts remain with everyone affected during this incredibly difficult time.”
The coroner’s office, the Allentown Police Department, the Allentown Police Traffic Unit, and the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office are investigating.
