Newport Twp. High School: Class of 1966 will celebrate its 60th reunion Sunday, Oct. 11, at the banquet hall of Holy Transfiguration Church, in the Hanover Section of Nanticoke, Bliss and Center streets. The celebration will be a part of the All-Newport Reunion, which is an all-inclusive reunion for anyone who attended the schools in the former Newport Twp. School District at any time. Kingston High School: Class of 1961 is celebrating its 66th class reunion Sunday, June 7, at Keeley’s Alehouse and Grille, 199 Division St., Pringle, on the outdoor deck. Kingston High School: Class of 1966, the school’s last graduating class, will host a 60th class reunion the weekend of June 5-7 at Apple Tree Terrace. Ice breaker is planned for Friday, with the reunion, featuring dinner and dancing, on Saturday and a possible breakfast on Sunday. Wyoming Valley West High School: Class of 1976 will celebrate its 50th class reunion Saturday, June 13. Festivities will be held at the Doubletree Hilton Wilkes-Barre, formerly East Mountain Inn. A buffet dinner will be available and a DJ will provide music. There also will be an icebreaker at Susquehanna Brewing Company the evening before and a school revisit. Class members are working on a class memorial along with a presentation of the Class of 1976 James Soha Memorial Scholarship, which has been awarded since its inception in 1983.
