Allen’s magical season continued Monday night as the Canaries beat 8 seed Central Catholic 4-2 in the EPC Semifinals.
Allen is in the EPC title game for the first time in the modern era of the league. The Canaries used a 3 run 6th inning to pull away, closing it out in dramatic fashion in the 7th. ACCHS lined out with the bases loaded.
In the other semifinal, Nik Christman threw a complete game shutout for Whitehall. The Zephyrs beat Parkland 1-0. The only run of the pitcher’s duel came on a bases loaded walk.
Whitehall will play Allen at DeSales Wednesday night in the EPC championship.
