MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – New towing fees are in place in Myrtle Beach.
The Myrtle Beach City Council approved the second reading of an increase in towing fees on Tuesday morning, something that towing companies requested.
The fees range from $160 to $225 for a standard personal vehicle and from $250 to $500 for Class D vehicles, such as tractor-trailers and garbage trucks.
In the surrounding area, Conway’s fee for a standard personal vehicle is $251; Horry County’s is $242 and Columbia’s is $251.
An ordinance for ancillary towing fees, additional fees behind base towing, has not yet passed a second reading.
