A local nonprofit is asking for the community’s help to continue to serve those who are struggling in downtown Erie.
The Erie City Mission offers shelter, meals and other services for people facing poverty, addiction, and homelessness in Erie.

But one employee with the organization said they’ve been spread thin on supplies lately.
She said they’re in need of tissues, toilet paper, deodorant, toothpaste, men’s clothing and more, and your donation would go to help someone in need.

“There’s people all around who need our help, who need our compassion, and compassion can look different ways, donating items, talking to them.” “This goes a very long way for somebody who may not be able to purchase the items themselves,” said Regan Ganoe, the marketing and communications manager for the Erie City Mission.
The community can donate by dropping off items at their building on French and 10th Streets on Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, or for more information, you can head to their website here.
