Apartments and townhomes are being offered for lease in the Harbor Village complex in Harborcreek.
The multi-phase development is under construction on 25 acres off Buffalo Road, between the Harborcreek Township Municipal Building and Walmart.
The first 20 townhomes and a 36-unit garden apartment building will be completed this summer, and they’re now renting, said developer Joe Palermo, of Palermo Realty & Development. Thirteen people so far have paid full deposits for apartments or townhomes.
“And that’s even though people aren’t able to drive in yet,” he said.
Construction of the complex’s main access road was delayed by cold weather last fall.
The $40 million development ultimately will include 70 townhomes and three three-story apartment buildings. There will be 178 total units.
Units and prices
Each townhome will have three bedrooms.
“Since COVID, more people are working at home,” Palermo said. “People who don’t need three bedrooms might (use) one of the rooms as an office.”
One- or two-car garages are available.
Rent ranges from $1,925 to $2,190 monthly.
Apartments are available with one bedroom and one bath or two bedrooms and two baths.
Rents begin at $1,110 and increase to $1,675 monthly depending on size and layout.

The pet-friendly complex will include a clubhouse with a workout room expected to be completed this year.
Also planned are a resort-style swimming pool with a nearby building housing pool showers, restrooms and equipment.
On-site laundry facilities will be provided.
Commercial buildings at the front of the complex, along Buffalo Road, will be built on land lease agreements to accommodate a restaurant-bar and a deli or coffee house, Palermo said.

“It will be different than Copperleaf, where commercial sites are incorporated within the apartment buildings. Commercial buildings at Harbor Village will be completely separate,” Palermo said.
Palermo Realty & Development built the Copperleaf apartment complex on Edinboro Road in Summit Township in 2018. The development is now fully occupied with a waiting list of would-be tenants, Palermo said.
