Inmate stabbed to death in Allegheny County Jail, sources say

PITTSBURGH — A deadly stabbing on Wednesday at the Allegheny County Jail is under investigation.

11 Investigates sources confirm that an inmate at the jail stabbed another inmate, who has died.

A spokesperson for the jail says Allegheny County police have been requested to investigate an “incident” in one of the housing units.

The jail is currently accepting people at the intake department.
