PSP to conduct sobriety checkpoint in Erie County

(WJET/WFXP) — Police are reminding drivers to stay sober on the roads.

Pennsylvania State Police will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint in Erie County over the weekend of May 22-24 to combat impaired driving.

State Police are reminding drivers that alcohol, legal and illegal drugs and even prescription drugs can render a driver incapable of safe driving.

The department is also encouraging drivers who plan on drinking alcohol to designate a sober driver.
