Police responded to the scene at Torresdale Road and Sheffield Avenue shortly after 11:15 a.m., where at least two vehicles were involved in the crash.
A black SUV could be seen smashed through the fence of a home, while a damaged white SUV was also stopped nearby, NBC10 Philadelphia reported. Several Philadelphia police officers responded to the scene.
According to 6abc Action News, the chase began in Trenton and crossed state lines into Pennsylvania. Sources told the outlet troopers were pursuing a vehicle possibly connected to a robbery.
The pursuit traveled down Interstate 95 before ending just blocks from the highway in Holmesburg.
Officials said the vehicle being chased was able to get away.
The New Jersey state trooper involved in the crash was not injured, according to 6abc.
Authorities have not released additional details about what caused the crash or whether anyone else was hurt.
