The Erie School Board approved a revised dress policy that returns students to more formal attire.
Jeans, T-shirts and hoodies won’t be allowed in classrooms starting with the 2026-27 school year.
Students will be required to wear black, khaki or navy blue skirts, skorts, dress-style pants or shorts with solid color shirts that include a collar (oxford, polo, or turtleneck) and either short or long sleeves.
PennWest Edinboro University women’s basketball team members greet McKinley Elementary School students on the first day of the 2025-26 school year. Starting on the first day of the 2026-27 school year, Erie public school students will have new clothing requirements.
