We’re now less than a week away from Pennsylvania’s 2026 primary election, with updated numbers from the Erie County Office of Elections and Voter Registration.

After running a report, Erie County found that, since last year’s primary, nearly 1,300 new voters have registered.

Of the voters currently registered, 467 voters switched to the Democratic Party and just over 400 voters switched to the Republican Party.

Also, 350 voters switched their status to no affiliation.

With Pennsylvania having closed primaries, those with no party affiliation will be unable to vote on Tuesday, May 19.
