Gannon University has established a new partnership with the Phi Delta Kappa (PDK) International through the Educators Rising Program.
This national initiative works to streamline the process of becoming a teaching professional by providing a clear pathway for high school students aspiring to work in the education field.
High school students will have the ability to earn college credits towards teacher certification programs at Gannon.
Through the agreement students can earn up to nine credits that will account for introductory education coursework by completing the Educators Rising Micro Credentials within the university’s curriculum or meeting benchmark scores for approved assessments.
Credits from this program will be applied throughout elementary education, special education and a variety of secondary certification programs.
