Neighborhood watch: Dickson City Neighborhood Watch meeting, May 20, 7 p.m., Dickson City Community Center, 824 Main St. Guest speaker will be Bob Hall Jr., chairman of the borough planning commission. He will be speaking about the role of the planning commission on the short- and long-term growth and development of Dickson City, including current and upcoming projects. It will be followed by a Q&A session. All are welcome; refreshments will be served.

Casino bus trip: AARP NEPA/Scranton Chapter 3731 will host a bus trip to Wind Creek Casino, Bethlehem, on July 15. The casino houses over 3,000 slot machines and 150 table games. Shop their outlets or eat at their large food court or restaurants on site; rebate $25 free slot play.
