(WHTM) — The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced that an ice cream product has been recalled across more than a dozen states, including Pennsylvania.
According to the FDA, the Petaluma, CA-based Straus Family Creamery has voluntarily recalled a small number of select flavors and sizes of its Organic Ice Cream due to the potential presence of a metal foreign material.

To date, there have been no injuries reported.
The recalled ice cream was distributed to retailers in 17 states including AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, MD, NJ, OR, PA, SC, TX, WA, and WI. The ice cream product hit the shelves on May 4.

Moving forward, consumers are being told not to eat the product or return it to the store, instead you should throw it away.
Consumers who would like to receive a voucher to redeem for a replacement product at their local retailer can go online.
