A benefit fundraiser for cancer patient Brian Baigis was held at the Italian American Club in Olyphant on Oct. 4. Brian Baigis was diagnosed with small cell neuroendocrine carcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. Proceeds from the event benefit his medical expenses.
Over 700 friends and family attended the fundraiser, many of whom wore T-shirts that said “Strong for #TeamBaigis” on the front and “I Wear Zebra for Brian” on the back. The event included the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for over 175 raffle baskets. Music was provided by DJ Gordo of Olyphant.
Additional donations can be mailed to Sue Baigis, Brian’s mother, at 524 North St., Throop, PA 18512. For more information, call Sue Baigis at 570-862-7732.
