Deadline extended to file for Pennsylvania Property Tax/Rent Rebate program

(WHTM) — You have more time to file for your rebate under the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program if you’re eligible.

Pennsylvania officials have extended the deadline to December 21, 2026.

“We want people to know this program requires eligible Pennsylvanians to submit an application every year,” Department of Revenue Secretary Pat Browne said. “With the filing deadline now extended to December 31, that provides more time for our residents to apply for a rebate that could help them put food on the table and pay their bills.”

The Department of Revenue says they’ve already received more than 400,000 rebate applications.

Eligible applicants are Pennsylvanians who are 65 or older; widows age 50 or older; and people with disabilities age 18 or older.
