L. SAUCON TWP., Pa. – A crash on Interstate 78 in Northampton County had a stretch of lanes closed Thursday just after midnight.
The incident happened on I-78 eastbound between Exit 67 (Route 412-Hellertown/Bethlehem) and Exit 71 (Route 33 to Route 22-Stroudsburg).
As of 1:30 a.m., all lanes remained closed.
County emergency communications said the original call was for a crash involving multiple tractor-trailers, and there was a fuel leak. Fire and EMS were on the scene, they said. Pennsylvania State Police in Belfast was investigating.
There was no word yet on when the lanes were expected to reopen.
